From the film’s title, you probably already know what you’re getting yourself into with this one, but in a nutshell, it’s explosions, super crack, boobs, remote control lawn mowers, and pimps. What more could you ask for?
Franken hooker is an off-the-wall horror comedy that never takes itself too seriously, and it’s perfect. You’re thrown right into the shredder in the first 10 minutes of the film with some hilarious one-liners that set the tone for how ridiculous this whole experience is. Here’s one of the lines that will forever stick with me
“In a blaze of blood, bones, and body parts, the vivacious young girl was instantly reduced to a tossed human salad… a salad that police are still trying to gather up… a salad that was once named Elizabeth.”
The practical effects are sometimes impressive and other times impressively bad, but they still add to the overall cheesy experience.
If you really want to dissect this film, there are some strong feminist themes throughout that, for many people, make it somewhat of a classic. The literal objectification of the doctor’s wife and the taking back of power are hard to miss. This is a must-watch for fans of comedic trash horror. Check it out!
